Big Sam Allardyce to manage West Ham?!

Sam Allardyce has been the big mover with Betfred in the market for next permanent West Ham manager as there was plenty of betting support for the former Bolton and Newcastle boss.

But surely if Hammers fans were unhappy with the way their side played under Curbishley there is no way that they’d accept the UGLY FOOTBALL that has been a trademark of all Big Sam’s teams?!

Football Preview: Community Shield 2008

Ahhhh….good old football, our dearest of friends, returns after a short break this weekend. Despite a full fixture list of Championship, League One and Two and lower league football, all Premier League eyes will be on Wembley come Sunday afternoon.

Man Utd v Portsmouth - photo courtesy traditional Community Shield is seen by most people as the start of the Premier League season. Ok, so it is basically a fancified friendly, but unlike the rest of the pre-season fixtures this is one that managers and players are always determined to win.

Man United cut to 1.16 to win League

Manchester United have been cut to 1.16 – 1.20 for the Premiership title  following their dramatic 2-1 victory over Fulham which moved them nine points clear of Chelsea.

It needed a last-gasp Cristiano Ronaldo goal at Craven Cottage to secure the three points for the league leaders and United had drifted out to 15/8 for the win in-running on Betfair.

Chelsea, who have one game in hand, have been eased to 4.50 (7/2) and outside these two prices are as high as 125/1 for anyone else.

Best Prices to win the league :
 – Manchester Utd (69 pts) are 1.20 at Victor Chandler.
 – Chelsea (60) are 4.50 at Bet365 .
 – Arsenal (49) are 126.00 at SportingOdds .
 – Liverpool (53) are 151.00 at PaddyPower .

At the other end of the table Charlton have been shunted out by bet365 to 1/3 from 1/6 from the drop following their 4-0 win over West Ham in the relegation six-pointer at The Valley.

The result means West Ham are now three points behind Charlton in the bottom three and looking doomed to the drop – while Watford are almost certainties for the drop.

Best Prices to be relegated :
 – Watford (19 pts) are 1.04 at Bet365
 – West Ham (20) are 1.14 at PaddyPower
 – Chartlon (23) are 1.35 at VC Bet
 – Wigan (26) are 4.00 at Ladbrokes
 – Sheffield Utd (30) are 6.00 at Ladbrokes.

Victor proves Value is best once again !!

Victor is fast becoming the most popular tipster on the website after he racked up another profitable weekend in the English Premier League.

Victor tipping up a storm !The canny punter – who says he’s definately a “value chaser” picked up a +50% yield on the weekend with a 3-3 record on his longer value bets.

With winning bets on Liverpool (2.88), Middlesbro (2.55) and Arsenal (2.60) our top ranking tipster pulled in more than enough profits to cover the losses on Portsmouth, Newcastle and Fulham.

Victor is now 26-29 overall in the English Premier League, with a tidy profit of +2259 units, and is showing a very impressive +41% yield after 55 bets.

We’ll all be looking to see what he’s picking this weekend.

You can check out all stats and bets on all of the tipsters performances here.

Victors “Value Bets” Pay Out Again.

Our leading European football tipster Victor struck again on Saturday when he landed two of his three value bets for a tidy payout.

Victor's Value Bets Pay OffVictor nominated Sheffield Utd to upset Arsenal at 7.50 – which they did by a 1-0 scoreline – and also Bolton to beat Portsmouth at 2.05

He couldn’t quite land the trifecta with third choice Tottenham losing 0-1 at home to Liverpool but it was still an impressive performance.

Three $100 bets would have returned $955 back for a tasty profit of $655 – so I hope that you got to celebrate the New Year with a good bonus.

Thanks Victor.

Victor’s Value Football Bets are in.

Victor is your typical value punter, he will only take a punt if he thinks that the odds are on his side.

He started his tips on the site in November and so far he has been on a hot run – running up an 18-10 record on some pretty long odds and running up a profit of over 2,000 points.

He is back this weekend (Dec 16th/17th) with five picks in the English Premier League where he thinks that the bookmakers have been a little too generous with the prices.
